Love Burned

For love that once burned like fire Seems to no longer burn with desire What started with being branded with love and satisfaction Ended with being thrown away with attractions being subtracted From laying in bed, on fire by your touch To my heart being lifted from the tightness of your clutch Silence can be golden But not when grudges are holding And hatred unfolding For our love to so fast dissipate Has my shoulders so heavy from the whirlwind of love's weight Where do we go from here? What do we do? Mind in overload, heart confused Hold on and hope? Hold tight or let go? Will the effort put forth be worth our time? Will we set aside our pride and let our love rekindle and renew our minds?
