What helps you grow more than love?

In my past existence, circumstance sowed my roots deep into woods of foreign soil, slowly I ascended spreading my wings, yearning to be evergreen, blossoming in summer with glossy verdant leaves - I became the soul of the earth. Yet, I never belonged, among a promenade of silver skinned pines, who mocked my rough brown bark. I was born to flourish in a tropical oasis, so autumn winds stole my diverse petals. I stood vulnerable with bare branches shivering in silence. Snow fell gently, as my crumbling core began to rot. Fate slashed at my anchor like a mad man with an axe, until I collapsed with my sap bleeding dry. I was left to slumber in melancholic meadows, abandoned in murky misty moors. In death, I pondered, will anyone miss me in times of; silence, anger, tears, smiles, laughter and regret? Although they cannot hear nor see me, will they still feel me in their hearts? When they gaze at the night skies. Will they find me among the stars? Lost in thought, yearning stardust and moonlight melodies, my soul connected with an ethereal spirit, an aromatic aura I had never felt - I was finally found. Her soft lotus touch roused a fluorescent glow. Our hearts illuminated resembling the golden orb. As my beloved portrays me in her poetry, we wander in fields of forever, commemorating instead of cremating memories. Her devotion plants a special seed in her bronze orchard, creating an immortal poetic garden - where we bloom as flowers in all four seasons.

Another jewel in the crown of poetic mastery, my friend. Your wors flow so smoothly the stone in the stream love your touch. You shape them and carry away the blemishes and allow others to see their beauty. A deep and metaphoric poem. I enjoyed the transformation in each growth spurt and the final resting place in the bronze orchard. May your soul rest in peace. Another FAV for my list. Another excellent entry for contest. May your efforts be properly rewarded. Thanks for sharing, Bill

Wow, firstly I need to save this in my favs! I'm really astounded by your exquisite wordsmithery here & there's so much to admire in the thought process that flowed so elegantly throughout this poetic piece. Be it the vision of being a soft sapling who wishes to find its unique sunshine in all the four seasons! Inspite of all the adversities and hurdles, the soul spread its wings and soared above the horizons of resilience..And when in the gloomiest moments of ache, got saved by an eternal love!

I loveee so many lines here especially "I became the soul of the earth", "I was born to flourish in a tropical oasis, so autumn winds stole my diverse petals.", "yearning stardust and moonlight melodies", "Her soft lotus touch roused a fluorescent glow", "Her devotion plants a special seed in her bronze orchard" That whole ending stanza is just breathtaking! Mesmerizing poetry...

Love that last stanza. My wife doesn't relate much to poetry, but nothing like having a loved one write sweet verse about you. Good stuff

Wonderful descriptions resonating in splendid metaphors, SO. Love blossoms in her garden and heartfelt echoes--Her soft lotus touch roused a fluorescent glow. Our hearts illuminated resembling the golden orb--lovely, romantic!

Love this. Love the tie-in at the end, referencing back to “bronze orchard” and “murky misty moors“ is genius…

Wow this is absolutely stunning i dont even know where to begin praising this profound and soul touching poem. It has a delicate flow to it and your use of poetic techniques like alliterations etc is so breathtaking and flows just seamlessly. I especially love the ending. So heartfelt and sincere, with so many emotions wrapped with a poetic bow of moonlit verses. You really know how to write in an evocative manner that readers would resonate to. And this is no exception really. Every word speaks
