Notes About The Poem

Not a contest poem. I am out of contests for some time.

Love beyond time

Time moves on, yet forests stay green in snow or sun.
Eucalyptus sheds bark, spreads scent, and stands so tall.
Under stars so bright, I see your glowing face.
Close to me, beyond the reach of time or fear.

Time, my love, will never wait for anyone,
Not for ocean waves or for the setting sun.
Yet within your eyes, my love stands strong and true,
Like the hills that rise near lakes so deep and blue.

Time flies past, yet leaves behind its fleeting shade.
Your love lingers, shaped by all we’ve done and made.
Life is brief, so cherish paths we've walked as one.
Love is moments felt—eternal, never gone.

"Life is brief, so cherish paths we've walked as one. Love is moments felt—eternal, never gone." A wonderful close to a beautiful love poem. Time may swiftly pass. But love and memories of a life shared in love, lives on.

Well done, Jay. We should savor each passing moment since life is fleeting.
