Love and War

If I was a plant
It would be a cactus.
Pretty to look at
But painful to hold.

If I was a place
It would be Alaska.
Beautiful, majestic,
But decidedly cold.

For every action
There is a reaction.
Or maybe it's karma I'm told.

But without you to love me
I would have no reason
To still be here when I'm old.
