Love and Hurt Go Side By Side

Why is it that when we are hurt by someone, we tend to just go right back. No
matter how much pain we go through we just stay there trying to hold on to
something that is not there. Year after year goes by but your still stuck in that one
position and feel like your life is going nowhere. So after you have had enough,
you move on and leave all those years of hurt behind you. And then one day
happiness appears. Your skeptical at first but say what the hell, I might as well try
and see what comes from this happiness. It feels really good to smile and be
happy again. You start to gain weight from the happiness your heart is feeling.
You start to think wow miracles really do happen. But then your happiness is
ruined once mistakes keep happening. The more mistakes that happen the
more you start to think of all the years of hurt that you try to put behind you. Does
one really get over the past? Can one really trust someone new? Does one even
trust their own shadow after being hurt so much? Do we tend to push away the
one who really cares for you and loves you just because your scared that they are
getting to close to you? Do the mistakes the one you love makes have you
doubting if they are really the one? Do we compare the mistakes the one you love
does to you to our past? Do you really think that the one you love and feel all of
this happiness with is really worth your trust? These are all questions that are
running through my mind right now. And I just wish I really knew all of the
answers.
