Love

you don't have to find romantic love
you don't need a romantic relationship to be happy
you don't need to have a partner to be happy
this is something that most people think they need, a romantic partner
and you don't
and it's taken me a long time to accept that
but i finally have
i've realized that i don't have to find someone to marry in order to not be alone

I can subscribe to every single word of your poem, Maddie. I am 56 and have never married or produced any offspring (there are many who would thank me for that - chuckles!); even though I regret, in some very small way, much of this I would not change any of it...it has moulded me for what I am -- and I can live and die with that! My best regards, Maddie. :) john
