Love

If love is a lie I long to be deceived
To be drug through the trenches of sweet treachery

If love is lunacy, in its angry asylum,I long to be 4ever trapped
Like sick ones in straight jackets whose hearts and heads have snapped

If love is lethal I long to be injected
Let the sweet turn to sour
Let the pretty turn to poison

In love I look, listen, and I learn that every rose has a thorn
and every road has a turn

Love left me scorned in the third degree
Love is not cheap,easy,or free

Still night after night and day after day...on the wild wings of love I can rise and fly away
