LOVE

When I wake up, I can’t bear we’re not together,
For making a promise is hard if it’s not forever.
When I see your eyes—brighter than skies,
More beautiful than stars, where my true hope lies.
Gentle as the wings of a butterfly’s flight,
While I am just leaves, waiting to fall from height.
Yet my love stays true, carved deep in my heart,
A bond unbroken, never forgotten apart.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
