Love

love is a weird concept,
I’ve never quiet grasped it,
I’ve never experienced love,
Not like that anyway,

The love I know is seeing my friend after months of not speaking,
It’s cuddling my cats after waking up in the morning,
Watching tv with my mom.

I know love,
Just not romance,
I’ve liked plenty of guys;
But none of them sticked.

Love is a concept,
Not a thing,
It’s not something you can hold or see,

I’ve always hoped to find someone to show me love,
Not realising I’m surrounded by it,
I wanted someone to love me,
Only to find out people already do.
