Love

What is love? Is it a mere feeling? Or is it a choice? I think love is complex. Can you love if you've never had it? There are different types of love, Love for your creator Love for your parents Love for yourself Love for your siblings Love for your spouse Love for your kids Love for your extended family Love for your friends You express your love to each one differently. With that being said, if any one of those mentioned hurt you, would you stop loving them? Of course not, there- fore love is more than a feeling it’s a choice. Our relationships help us to be better people. Because we choose to love them despite their imperfections and flaws. This works both ways, visa versa. No one is perfect and we can get on each other's nerves. But we need to cut each other some slack and walk in compassion. These relationships are practice and battleground to help us love beyond our family and friends. If you can heal from being hurt by some of these relationships, You can most definitely weather storm in your endeavors to build new relationships. am I saying stay in an toxic relationship? No, I'm not. I don't have to be near you to love you, I can love you from a distance. Walking in love and forgiveness is like medicine to your soul. Love is so more much than a feeling, If it was we would most likely be alone. Alexis Y. 11/22/2020

God made it clear through His Son, that without love we are nothing. ~~
