Love
It can be expressed in so many different ways.
A tender word,
An exchange of bodily fluids,
A deep gaze,
Two bodies dancing as one,
Comfort in time of sickness,
Caring for the children,
Longing for an absent partner,
Letters both long and mellifluous,
Looking at a faded photograph,
A melody that memory enshrines,
Wishing those words unsaid,
Cuddling close in bed,
Hand in hand beside the surf,
Seeing the children wed their matches,
Mourning the loss of a lover and a friend,
Fading into eternity
Where our shades meet once again.
Love should be forever.
