Lounge Entertainer

She is a personality too few people know. I see her each night behind her white grand piano. Her sweet singing voice fills the air. People drink in the lounge, but do not seem to care. This woman looks as attractive as the way she sings. She dresses in a silk gown with sparkling earrings. Playing with great dexterity and singing like a lark, she renders her beautiful version of “Piano in the Dark”. Despite the wonderful voice and talent she owns, this entertainer ranks among the multitude of unknowns.

Its sad really isnt it. Shame if she sings so well, that she is not recognised for her talents. Another really neat write. Thank you. Hugsssss

lovely Robert, thank you for the kind comments today, when Rhett walked off into the morning mist I was sitting on the stairs in jeans and bare feet with a 26er of Cuervo Gold, not exactly like Scarlett

I like this one the best, just a sweet poem about an ordinary person. I don't recall I have read your poetry much in the past? Anyway, I look forward to seeing more. Luv, andrea

I could just picture her, so vivid is your poem ~~ thanks so much for viewing my two very first poems on this site, that seems so long ago, and so many poems ago, and gosh, how I have grown as a writer, well over 800 poems, now, no, it was not the beginning, I started writing as a child, but it was just words on a page, now I am the poet ~~
