Lost Letters Are Found
In her soft, calloused hand, she holds the unwritten letters,
As her ears ring, with unheard love songs, and tender words unspoken
His shallow poems of love so deep, in sweet bitterness resounds
And hover above her, like snakes on the ground
She had been so careless with each cautious step
But now, he then revealed too many secrets kept
She had been kept in the dark, that shined with unseen visions
And now was her time to make undecided conclusions
Her dry eyes weep gladly, with tears of such sorrow
She hopes for sweet raindrops with clear skies tomorrow
Her memory is keen with passion's forgotten voices
She has learned new wisdom now...taught with reckless choices
The sadness she suffers, displayed with her smile
Never was such love that is here for awhile
As their love dwindled down to the stars in the sky
She had asked for the truth, and would wait for the lie
What's been here all along, did not happen at all
In tomorrow's sweet springtime, that came with yesterday's fall
All his letters tossed away, lie bundled here before her
With the cold of the summer, flies the warm winter's air
Although the loss does not hurt, the pain crushes severely
And now her clouded eyes can see it all, so dimly, yet so clearly
