Lost in a world of poetry am I
Secluded in the lines of love sublime
I shut myself to pain, oh how I try
To live vicarious through every rhyme
In this my world there is no grief or pain
And I can be enchantress to a dream
I dance around the words till moon does wane
Then let word sunbeams plunge my heart in streams
I care not what the world thinks of my state
A love sick fool I am drunk on this wine
To read of love, my heart can hardly wait
Each line, a lover, come with me to dine
I am enslaved to poetry, it’s true
My heart, it sings when I read lines from you
Eileen
