Lost and Found

In a world of folly I was lost Material yearnings caved in on me Succumbed to a life worn out in the frost Oblivious to what outcome may be Blinded by emotions that felt quite right Yet something seemed missing inside The pathway appeared sank from sight In my heart, emptiness slowly reside It took some time before I awaken Looking round to find a familiar face There He stood, never was I forsaken Upon me, a strange quietude He placed In search of direction, my spirit roam With you my Lord, I found back my home 31 March 2018

Very nice poem Elaine. It really spoke to me. My favorite book is Ecclesiastes which speaks to one lost in materialism and worldly cares. That is me. Thanks for a poem that made me look at myself. Oliver
