Lost

Where are you? My friend and most cherished one, Throughout the years we have had so much fun How could I Live without you in my life? Don't you recall the victories we've won You left without saying one single word As I searched for you, silence was all I heard What did I do to cause you to vanish The fact that you left was so absurd Now that you're gone, I cry a river of tears How can I alone face my many fears My tomorrow looks bleak and very dark Am i supposed to just stop and shift gears You are the light of my of tortured soul In your presence i felt completely whole Without you my dear muse, I am so lost When we're in sync we achieve many goals Alexis Y. 7-28-17

Very nice Alexis..... Believe it or not I have a Rubaiyat with the same name "Lost". Ironic, since Rubaiyat is not very popular style because it is a very difficult form.

That aloneness is an embrace we all must feel from time to time. Your poem eloquently expresses that state of being. When God is all we have to turn to, it is the best condition to be in. A sad and powerful poem! A fave for sure. Love and joy always.

Oh Alexis I see so many with missing muses and there is such apathy on the site recently and friends missing which makes me really sad. We need a missing muse society where we can call on other members for inspiration - I certainly would join:-) Having read your poem I don't think you have any worry about your muse she's just playing tricks with you!:-) hugs jan xx
