Our life can suddenly be cut short We never know when our lives will end Excess years, they cannot be bought Now I’m mourning the loss of a friend We recently met at the station She had a smile on her lovely face Excited about her next vacation A sweet friend I can never replace Many people are shocked by the loss Her passing was such a surprise Live life to the full, you’re the boss With death there’s no compromise

It’s only through loss we learn the hard truths about life Jan, all we can be sure of is this moment, a very sad meaningful poem with real life loss, cheers David

Tomorrow is not promised to any of us, Jan. I'm sorry about your friend for I know how much you cared about her. I know you'll think of her while away and wishing she were with you, but in your memory, she will be.

very sad, jan, and i'm sorry for your loss (if this is true - i'm sometimes fooled). it's hard to remember how quickly our lives can end, but that's the reality of it...

Yes our friend was taken ill suddenly and air medded to the UK and sadly didn't return home, its taken a while for it to sink in:-( hugs Jan xx
