Loss

Tortured day, Lifeless nights
The constant awakening of others passing by
Please don't stop
Night never sleeps, Day never rests
I try to hold back so much that I feel
The pain I encountered is so unreal
I constantly feel the hurt, The ache and the sorrow
Morning and night, Yesterday and tomorrow
Left without a friend, Left with no concern
Heartless words, Careless thoughts
Everlasting grief returns
Nothing in my life will ever be the same
The loss I encountered can never be replaced
On a mission to succeed, Many times I've tried I fell
I'm afraid of what might happen
I'm afraid of what might be
I'm afraid it will never happen
I'm afraid it's indefinitely!

This is beautifully written Tyesha, and I am so sorry for the loss that you have endured. You expressed your emotions wonderfully and I can relate to those feelings too. It does get better... it feels like it will never end, but eventually it at least becomes tolerable. Congratulations on your moving feature this week. Love, Amy

Nothing lasts forever ... smile ... and this too shall pass until the next time ... grief seems to be a much bigger part of life than we're ever warned about ahead of time ... LOL ... at least thats what I've found in my 66 years. Makes the good times all the more precious! Wonderful write here, Tyesha and congratulations on having it featured this week here at the Soup!

Tyesha - I seem to relate to every poem you have written - I would like to say this to you it's a little saying I made up, "Stay strong inside for those you love always for that truly is all that is real in this life - Everything else is just an illusion that changes with the hands of time" - Your on the right path in your thoughts for love truly is everything - It's also the hardest thing in life - Everyday is so important because those who we love need us - God Bless, MJ
