Lord You Know

My days are filled
with utter dark desires
And from thy way
did my poor soul depart
For I had thought
thy love in me expires
But Lord, you know
how heavy is my heart

O how I hate
the love I have for sin!
When I began
to flee I would not call
For I had felt
that I myself could win
But Lord, you know
it hurts each time I fall

And now this time
I only trust your grace
That freely makes
a soul so pure as dove
A thirsty hart
will to the fount make haste
But Lord, you know
If thee I truly love

Amazing love
that never lets me go
But do I hold on thee?
O Lord, you know
