Lord You Asked Me To Pray
Lord, you asked me to pray
And all I did was prayed for her to stay.
You asked me to be faithful to You,
And although I am a sinner, I believed You to be true
You said all I need is ask and I shall receive
So I poured my heart out to You and believed
Yet, when she was sick You didn’t intervene
When she was fighting for her life, You went unseen
I prayed and prayed and cried my eyes dry,
Still You were silent and allowed my child to die!
How can I go on Lord if I feel so betrayed?
Life scares me now, but of death I am no more afraid
