Lord, We Submit Ourselves To You

Lord, we submit* ourselves to You according to Your will Not insisting our stubbornness along arrogance-hill… Help us whom You’ve granted Your redemption bill To humble at Your throne of mercy where we keep still In obtaining grace on how Your plan to fulfill. Lord, we submit our hearts to You in Your name Not doubting Your promises we should claim… Help us whom You’ve rescued in our pitiful frame To confess our acknowledged sin and shame In casting our cares to Your provision’s fame. Lord, we submit our pursuits to You for Your glory Not coveting any honour nor entertaining worry… Help us whom You’ve raised by Your victory To lift up to You praises we carry In pursuing for a holy life story. Lord, we submit our hope to You through Your Spirit Not ignoring Your might for our faith’s summit… Help us whom You’ve made heaven-fit To rely on Your Word’s perfect wit In sharing the Gospel, so compassionately lit. Lord, we submit our strength to You with Your guidance Not banking on feeble and failing self-endurance… Help us whom You’ve called with assurance To yield to You against carnal resistance In subduing foes through Your divine assistance. Lord, we submit our thoughts to You by Your way Not leaning on our understanding’s ray… Help us whom You’ve ransomed with Your blood’s pay To depend on Your wisdom without delay In overcoming problems we face everyday. Lord, we submit our cares to You along Your goodness Not frustrating deliberately Your loving kindness… Help us whom You’ve blessed with Your graciousness To thank and praise You with joyousness In worshipping You in Your truthfulness.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God… May 17, 2020

Beautiful and witty. Words of gracious flow, developing extra limbs to double-embrace the mind.
