Lord of the Rings

I've stepped out of Earth's atmosphere
Don't expect me for dinner, my dear

Past Mercury, Venus and Mars
Out my window shine trillions of stars

Catch a glimpse of me going 'round Saturn
Just follow the rings' elliptical pattern

And when I'm beyond the Milky Way
Please call in sick for me, OK?

I love circling Saturn; did it in a dream once; wonderful.

And just think. You didn't even have to pay a few million and sit in the same room as Jeff Bezos! Such a deal!

I just blasted off chuckling at the first couplet. Don't expect me for dinner, my dear. The very thing every space traveler shares.

I might actually make it for dessert. I'm only 3.1 light-years away now.

I had Rocket Man playing in my head as I read this. Yep, best to stay away from Uranus. Nice piece.

Huh? What? Oh, yeah. I'll be a few light-years late for the main course, I'm afraid.

I wonder if one day it would be possible. 'Cause, wow, imagine the view. You've got me starry eyed :) ~ps

Even if you are weightlessly circling in stratosphere, you will come down when you are hungry and see with your third eye that your table is set ready with a fantastic spread ! Enjoyed !
