Lord of My Storm

The tempest raged with thundering might,
Tearing my world, drowning my light.
Each time it rose, fierce and wild,
It swept away a part of me.

Then came my angel, calm and bright,
With but a gesture, she stilled the storm.
The billowing whirlwind hushed,
And the sea lay still in peace.

Who is she, that storms obey?
My refuge, my light, my guide.
I’ll make her Lord of my storm,
And hold her close—never to let go.
