Lord Lucan was a British peer, On 7th November 1974 his children’s nanny Sandra Rivett was brutally murdered in the basement kitchen (The nanny was very similar in build to his wife and on this day it should have been Sandra’s day off) Lady Lucan was also attacked but managed to escape and named the attacker as her husband. Lord Lucan fled and later his clothes were found on a beach – his body has never been found and there are various theories as to what happened to him. He was declared officially dead in 1999

This Lord life’s flawed Has strife hits wife Divorce on course In house his spouse He kills blood spills NOT wife more strife He fled girl dead Sand dune clothes strewn He lied he’d died 3/5/19

Isn't it funny how people who "have it all" tend to believe they have nothing they want? Well done, Jan! Aloha! Rico

Do you think he is in hiding and faked his death? You managed to tell the whole story in this short form brilliantly Jan. xxoo

It is a long time ago Connie but I think he probably escaped for a life abroad and there were many alleged sightings. I love the footle form and its quite a challenge to make it into a flowing story so i'm really glad this one worked out so well:-) hugs jan xx

Wow I remember that, there was all sorts of theories', I think his money helped him start a new life somewhere. Also he had friends in high places. Interesting verse Jan.

I've written a clerihew about him too, yes I agree there were many theories and he was allegedly sighted in various places and possibly 'spirited away' by affluent friends. I recently watched a documentary on his wife sadly in later years she'd become estranged from her 3 children and left her estate to the charity 'Shelter':-) hugs Jan xx
