When things in life do not go according to plan,
I feel so bad about myself and lose my faith;
when grief entered my heart and soul I ran,
with a glimmer of hope remaining deep beneath.
I feel so bad about myself and lose my faith,
the teachings of childhood are rooted inside me;
with a glimmer of hope remaining deep beneath,
oh, putting my faith in the Lord will set me free.
The teachings of childhood are rooted inside me,
believing in Heaven is not about bondage;
oh, putting my faith in the Lord will set me free,
with the Lord by my side this life I can manage.
Believing in Heaven is not about bondage,
my heart was restless until I truly believed;
with the Lord at my side this life I can manage,
now, I give him my struggle and peace is achieved.
My heart was restless until I truly believed,
when grief entered my heart and soul I ran;
now, I give him my struggle and peace is achieved,
when things in life do not go according to plan.
