Lord, I need your answers
To all the questions I have
I need to whisper praises
For all the blessings you’ve sent
Lord, I need to hear your voice
Whispering to my heart
Letting me know what to do
When worries trouble my mind
Lord, I need to seek your will
And make sure I’m doing what you say
When the world tries to turn my head
And I know you want me to go your way
Lord, I need to feel your presence
Filling my heart, soul and mind
A gentle and kind sort of compassion
That only comes from your sweet love
Lord, I need to grasp your wisdom
Feel sure of what you are telling me
Don’t allow my own will to get in the way
Of the glorious will that is Yours, dear Lord
Lord, I need to understand what you’re saying
When you tell me what I should do each day
Help me to know the way, truth and life
And always follow Jesus along the right path
Lord, I need to accept your decisions
And reach out to discover your truth
When I can’t seem to know what to do
You always let me know with your word
Lord, I need to give from my heart
To honor the love you’ve instilled in me
Help me to know what to do in all that comes
Through relationships with other Christians
Lord, I need to love with all my spirit
Love that has been sent to me by Your Son
The One I love each day, more and more
With a love that is always life from above
