Lord God, You Are My Goodness-Guide

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY GOODNESS-GUIDE			

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against painful lamentation
Thank You for seeking me from captivity’s affliction
Keep my heart victorious to overcome temptation
By Your gracious preservation.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against destructive falling
Thank You for enclosing me around Your salvation-sealing
Keep my soul sanctified to fight sinfulness’ grueling 
By Your Scriptures’ truth-instilling.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against vain worldliness
Thank You for rescuing me from wallowing in hopelessness
Keep my faith strong to hurdle weariness
By Your upholding righteousness.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against attacking falsity
Thank You for leading me from folly’s worthless futility
Keep my mind discerning to check deceit’s subtlety
By Your teaching authority.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against threatening doubt
Thank You for ushering me from distracting unbelief-route
Keep my spirit steadfast to worship with praise-shout
By Your reigning wisdom against ignorance-bout.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against lurking discouragement
Thank You for restoring me from gloominess of despair’s sentiment
Keep my devotion on fire to prevail over sad temperament
By Your wondrous revival for my divine enjoyment.

Lord God, You are my goodness-Guide against engulfing sorrow
Thank You for directing me from wastage of slothfulness-blow
Keep my commitment unwavering to share blessings’ flow
By Your great commission and discipleship-glow.
