Loose Leaf Binders

a lone duck
ponders
          its abandonment

two bears agree
to berry
          the hatchet

caterpillars
weave
        new wings

angry hawks
screech
          at biting winds

turtles vie
for distant
            sunshine

hoar frost
silences
          the crickets

a blue harvest moon
torments
            a scarecrow

falling leaves
a gathering of pumpkins
                                blank faces

farmer’s markets
gnarly produce
                    weathered hands
