Linda, I was thinking of West Virginia today and the great time I had there when I was 12! In high school, we took a train to DC. Kids from all over America were there. I met a boy from the South,and loved his accent and manners. I forgot his name but remember his looks and kindness to me. Impressed this Chicago gal!))) Panagiota XXX

Hello Panagiota, yes I was a fun friend to those that j=knew me. No I have tried to ice skate. I could not stand up when I had ice skates on. Love cotton candy. I did enjoy it. I do not know if cotton candy is world wide. I did enjoy it. Hugs Darlenexxx

'Limitless play?' Seems that way now. But we had to come in at twilight. Way too early. Much better to stay outside through darkness... And yet, 'those were the days!'

Hi Gershon.. my mother read me poetry in the mornings. I Had a dog to play with in the house. I had a rolltop desk when I was seven years old and a typewriter. Grandfather lived in the apartment next to us. and he had a piano that played rolls. We listened to FDR, fireside chats. I had a humungus yard with slides swings and a WWll tent. We played late into the night as my Dad had a business.at least nobody was getting killed like today! Nor were children kidnapped. So I was out late! It was the best childhood. Add to that, my parents both had senses of humor, like you do. I hope we all appreciate each day now…including pain.)) Panagiota xxx

I remember when the fair would come to town and I adored the pink cotton candy we all shared. A lovely senryu that made me so nostalgic this morning. Blessings xxoo
