Looking For Mr Goodbar

the warnings
came and went
in a breeze in a gale
no one noticed
no one listened

youth the aphrodisiac
fear just a clown
in a polyester suit
most got lucky
others not so much

the warnings
came and went
in a breeze in a gale
for some
brutally much too late
