Looking For a Muse
Give me something to write about,
Become my muse.
Give me a song
Give me a note
Give me a story,
Become my inspiration.
Show me something that will teach me
Give me a lesson
Give me a lecture
Talk to me
Play for me a melody
Help me find the words,
Become my foundation.
Show me the way
Give me thoughts that will consume me
Give me a theme
Give me a reason
Give me knowledge
Help me find the words to fill this page
Show me a new light
Give me a new perspective
Give me an expression
Show me a gentle gesture,
Become my thunder
Let these words roar from the page
I want them all to hear
My feelings will no longer be concealed
They are now left to the world
My life is now on display,
