Looking

As I walk along the edge
looking for a treasure
I find myself in the reflections
of puddles
formed
in the murky waters
holding my likeness.

Is it to find my true self
that I walk along these muddy waters?

Do I know what I am looking for
or do I know when I find it?
Is there someone who will
search with me?

As I walk along the edge
I question my being
my actions
my past
and contemplate
my future
for in a murky puddle
I see beauty
as only I can achieve.
