Look Unto the Hills

It is early morning and off to work I go.
Hurriedly, rushing- as usual almost late.
But always, as I round that certain bend in the road,
I pause- if only with my eyes,
and drink in the breathtaking view of the hills.

What a spot! As always, I am reminded of the verse.
And almost out of habit, I repeat it aloud…
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.”
“My help cometh from the Lord.”

Strangely, I am warmed and calmed.
I have a new assurance of His help,
and guidance for this new day.
Even as I rush on my way into it…
