Look In the Mirror

When your point is fraught with nastiness
When your images and words have no classiness
Perhaps it’s time to look in the mirror
Perhaps it is you that people should fear
Are your words of love, joy peace, patience,
kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness
and most of all self-control?
Do you wade with the masses
in their pictorial and metaphoric priggishness
I’m worried about you, world

From a Judaic/Christian perspective this is the reality of our world. To believe humans can change it for the better is to ignore God's plan for redemption. What does that leave us but the chaos of our blasphemy. A provocative poem. /Maurice

Well spoken, well put together words/opinions with wisdom are fine but many things are said that are just hateful. We are better than this.
