Longing

I want you, and you are not even here,
Just out there somewhere waiting to be found.
So, fate will continue to toy around
With everything that my heart holds dear.
I have been waiting here year after year,
Praying to God that I am gaining ground,
While hoping that one day you will be found,
And will be willing to love without fear.
I need you, but I am willing to wait
For the right moment to be created,
Even though these words were written to bait
Your heart into becoming elated.
I can not leave everything to fate,
Because time is still being debated.
