Longest 7 Days

With the heaviest heart, I wrote you the hardest letter I have ever written.
I read it to you face to face, pages trembling, eyes overflowing
Knowing in my head that I need to let you go...
Wanting in my heart to hold onto you even tighter...
Granting a week's grace to digest and respond, I fear that you may not
And so it becomes
the longest 7 days my life
