Long Walk

I lift my eyes towards heaven
and thank God for his amazing 
grace.

I recall the story of old, how 
Jesus took that long walk to
Calvary.

He was sentenced to die and 
did no wrong.

He paid the ultimate price with
his shed blood on the cross.


He has risen, and he lives!

Your poem is a lovely reminder of the first Easter, Alexis. I've always wished Pontius Pilat had chosen to execute Barabas instead of Jesus. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us. Amen! When we look at the story and remember that is is so real and it is a part of our history we realize it really did happen just this way. Then it becomes so personal to us. We feel it. And The Resurrection becomes so exciting and we feel such a sense of relief that He IS ALIVE. I LOVE this time of year. God Bless and Happy Easter to you and yours. JB
