Long Live the Nidhogg

If this is your plot,
This will never sell
If I bought you a crystal shop to run,
Would you finally heal?
If I threw an official document in your face,
Would you finally appeal?
I feel like you haven’t tried to drown me
Or rely on me since our youth
But what if I told you I wanted you to?

You baked your cake of “this is why it couldn’t happen”
“Maybe in another life this could’ve worked out”
And you can’t make it taste sweeter by taking one of those out
You already baked the damn cake
You can’t take the bitterness out
Sometimes silence can be so ing loud
No response is your response
And it’s sad that the point I’m at,
I’m actually praying that you just forgot
rather than something else
Your burden trigger kept you from experiencing this
So run the faucet but don’t be surprised when this becomes your mess
No response is your response
And it’s sad that the point I’m at,
I’m actually praying that you just forgot
rather than something else
