Long Live the King

Say one, say all, the Brits will shout, “Long Live the King!” When elevating His Royal Highness, Charles, Prince of Wales, He, who did a most treacherous thing, According to Princess Diana, who exposed the worst of tales, And Duchess Camilla will become a queen … if nothing else fails.

Charles should never be King. I'm rooting for William. After his heinous behavior he should be banned from the throne. Camilla(need not apply) .....she is the femme fatale who played a large part in tarnishing the Royal Family. I love your Quintain, its brevity is spot on! :(Paulette

Thanks, Paulette. I agree wholeheartedly with you. However, the line of succession is pretty clear. Unless something dire would happen, Charles is next in line to the throne. I would hope Camilla will only be "Consort to the King," but I'm afraid she will be called Queen Camilla. What a travesty!

I think the only thing Camilla will be queen of is "following in Princess Diana's footsteps".

I guess, Caren. I find her rather disgusting, but that's just me. I'm one of those who feels Charles and Camilla did Diana wrong, and she lost her a life as a consequence. Charles is pretty low on my list!

Seriously, Gershon, that's not very likely. I wish the Brits would demand that the reign pass down to William. Charles is old, old news, in my humble opinion, and Camilla as queen? LOL

I don't know. The same could happen in Canada, too. I think several of the countries are hanging on because they admire Queen Elizabeth so much. Charles? ...not so much.

Queen Elizabeth will live until a hundred and fifty, so won't worry about Charles... gaining the throne!

LOL. Well, it seems like she could, but I doubt it. If Charles is alive, he'll be coronated. Personally, I'd love to see it pass down to William. Even then, it would be hard for him to have a 75-year reign!
