Lonely Night

The silence is deafening to my ears
just the sound of my heart beating
and the sighs that escape from my lips

on a night like this
I just want to cry myself to sleep
and let silent tears roll down my face

the night is cold
and I miss the warmth of your embrace

Astig~ Well, I'm guessing it's safe to say that too many nights have most of us been like this - A kind of cold that not even a fireplace can dispel; A kind of darkness that not even the Sun can break. I wish you're well if this is your current state. Sadness brings out the creative monster to sit down with us during our wake.

Thanks for the comment Jake and for the good wish as well. you're right nights have a way of haunting us when we are most alone making us feel a certain kind of cold and darkness that just wouldn't go away. Thankfully it is not my current state but i do slip into that state every now and then:)
