Lonely House of Childhood

dark desolate road
an unloved abandoned house
shabby and unkempt
makes me exceedingly sad
tear wallpaper from my youth

Thank you Brooke. All I know is how to say what is in my heart.

That's journey of life, yet childhood memories to relish. Wonderful composition.

Thank you Anisha. I thought what if I was at that house? How would I get a souvenier? What would I choose? My twin and I could not agree on a wallpaper. I wanted stripes, she wanted flowers, so Mom wallpapered half the room with large purple and white stripes, and the other two walls with purple, light blue, and yellow flowers. It was gorgeous in the 60's! All of our friends were amazed, as this was before the striped and polka dot dresses got really popular.

It is sad to see those old homesteads, rotting away; we always have our memories. A well penned memory.

Thank you M.L. I see the old house of my youth, and I am amazed at how abandoned, and forlorn, and small, and dingy it looks now.
