Lonely Days
Another lonely day passes
Without you by my side
I’m surrounded by many people who love me
But it’s your love I want
I read the notes that we use to write to each other
Saying you love me
Wanting to be with me each day
I see you still walking besides me
Still calling me when you get home
I walked in the park where we use to go
I see so many happy couples walking around
Looking at there happiness and the love they share
So many memories where mad there
We celebrated our anniversary there
I also saw an old couple still in love
Sitting on the bench his arm around her
Looking at her saying after 50 years you’re still the love of my life
Another couple was young and full of love
I was surrounded by love and couples
Love was everywhere except in my heart
I realized that I wanted to go home but I couldn’t
since you wouldn’t be there
You called me told me that you indeed had a boy friend of 9 months
That’s when I decided to finally walk away from you
You can’t offer me love or happiness
I decided to walk the road I have never gone before
The path in which not a lot of people known after the first love
I’m moving on, leaving all I have ever known and starting over
Burning everything that you ever gave me and your lies
For I have walked the line, for I have lost it all
I’m starting over with someone else
