Lonely Boy

I’m all alone
My last friend just left me
I guess the blues were too much

I lay with my cat who cuts the loneliness
But it’s still human affection I long for
Wouldn’t a friend be nice to have

But no, they have all left
Gone back to the Black Country
Like Glenn Hughes would say

But he too slicked me
Left me with a bunch of broken albums
And I can’t understand what he screams

So tonight I will chat with no one
My thumbs will have some time off
But the loneliness will cut deep

Oh I cry a thousand tears
All yearning for just a hug and some affection
Will you or could you be my friend?

So sad and understandable. You are not alone ... as long as you have a cat. I've written about my "Sammy". Wish you had a friend like my Sammy;

Robert, you will always be my friend! Sometimes I go quiet, it has always been that way. That is how I deal with my sadness, it is coming up to the date of my father's death, I miss him so much, I will go to the cemetery tomorrow though he Is not there, he is in my heart. Wonderful poem, the emotion is heartbreaking. I wanted to send you a message but did you turned off messenger ?
