Loneliness

Loneliness

Single fate, single food, single room
Amazing lifemate, lifesaver at my noon
Coming snowy old age, the afternoon
I will watch the past, non-existent illusion

In youth and middle age, many have amazing life mates. But in old age, one is left lonely either through the death of the partner or in some cases, a separation. To be lost in the golden memories of the past is the only option then. An emotive poem.
