Lollipop.
friendship like candy.
too sweet,
its sickening.
a cherry lollipop
staining my tongue,
making me thirsty for something different.
drop it on the table.
watch the shards fall apart.
sticky pieces clinging to a foreign surface.
i thought it was the stick it liked before?
so here we are.
close.
but not with eachother.
because we're really not so different,
because i know you feel the same.
thats why im moving on to jellybeans,
and licorice whips.
anything that refuses to tease my affection,
my friendship,
the way you did.
you dropped the lollipop.
