Lockdown

Woke with a start, Reflux bubbled up. No more sleep, Showered and dressed. Prayers to begin the day. Breakfast on the veranda, Looking around in wonder. What to do today? Much been done, much to do. Check the post and read my book, Decide to have another look. Lunch time has arrived so fast, A sandwich, a drink, simple repast. As I think, in a blink, the day is gone. Evening meal, time to repose, What tomorrow brings, who knows. © Dave Timperley 07/05/2021

Maybe the same, Dave, at 78 had many of those, although over 50 years of being timed by the clock. Great poem, love it.

Harry, when I retired in 2008, we came to Cyprus to live. On that 1st day I took off my watch and have never worn one since. I believe I started to live that day. Thanks for comments. Blessings. D.

I have to admit that I never dreamt that I would reach the 75th step on life's ladder. Typical day? Not really but it was that day. Blessings.. D.
