Living Without Love
Can you imagine living without love,
unable to fill that hole in your heart?
Lonely and scared, you'd pray to God above,
filled with anxieties that won't depart.
Some people will say that love doesn't exist:
it's merely the chemistry of hormones.
But many say love's real, when first kissed:
for that kiss transcends erogenous zones.
Loneliness is a pain you cannot share,
filled with acid tears and constant waiting.
It feels like hope is all that's ever there:
as happiness slips away, while dating.
Facing a selfish world of push and shove:
can you imagine living without love?
