Living With a Visiting Ghost

Most local folk lore is intended to unnerve but I think there's validity to the Haunted horse shoe curve. The building of our nations rails took a terrible toll on the Irish, the Chinese, and many other souls.. This was once a very thriving railroad town, now the population dwindles yet some ghosts still stick around.. Three years ago I bought my condo in a bit of haste. I never asked my realtor for a ghost reading of the place.. It's a building designed for seniors so obviously some passed on. Apparently there's one who is not completely gone, it's small like a child, might be a leprechaun? This is factual and not some kind of joke, in our non-smoking building there's a faint cigar smoke. Drawers and doors will open where there's no other folks. Some times out of the corner of one eye, a shorter fleeting person quickly passes by.. Similar experiences have been reported from coast to coast but are they actually signs of a visiting ghost? Initially I read up on ghosts and did a bit of learning, promptly I bought some sage and had my first burning.. Now I just play tambourines and ring a loud bells to chase away any stuck energy that dwells. Living with this ghost has not been a big deal. Some times I just interrupt it's energy field.. If per chance I should get stuck before I'm safe and heavenly. I pray that some one out there will do the same for me..

Perhaps they are bad energy spirits for the saints don’t scare us. Sadly those towns are built on death. Speaking of ghosts, around the corner someone was murdered. So glad they knocked the place down. Who wants to live there. Hopefully the lot will stay empty for a while. A school bus driver spotted the body…its lights barely catching the corpse. Many had passed by on that busy morning.

Do you still live there? Whoa thats freaky. Recently couple of years ago just before the pandemic, i traveled to another country, was staying at a friends house and she was telling me stories about the house infront and how no one gets to live there for long cus its haunted etc and whoever comes there just suddenly dies etc… so scary but real. You are so brave. I would have left.. been through similar situations and have heard so many stories like this tho. I love how you told us this! Brilliant

Your title intrigued me, Nancy. I wasn't familiar with Misophonia until I read your poem, which is exquisitely crafted. I can understand the hardships and the sorry that comes from Misophonia. Am faving it. Have a blessed day! Sara

Hi Sara, It was the silent one who wrote a poem about misophonia which I had never heard of until Sotto wrote his comments. I do not have misophonia either and it might be a prank of some kind here? However, I have lived in a condo for three years now for seasoned adults and for the first time have experienced only on occasion (6 times in 3 years), some stuck energy and it is not just me. Perhaps if some one has not had a similar experience they don't want to believe that ghosts just could be real. Enough said. Thanks for your visit.

Nancy, your tale feels like an everlasting lament, resonating in the symphony of misophonia, even if it appears grounded in reality. The way you have beautifully expressed the intricacies of Misophonia and the hardships it entails exudes a haunting quality. The metaphors and descriptive language you employ are flawless. The way your words effortlessly intertwine is truly remarkable.

My poem was about misphonia today... Maybe Sotto still had those emotions when he commented :))

f.y.i. misophonia usually starts in the teen years. No misophonia here thankfully, just one little visiting ghost.

Hi dear Sotto, Well thanks for weighing in on this but I no misophonia here and this has and is a new experience for me in my life as I never previously experienced any thing like this. Thanks for expanding my limited vocabulary. LOL

Hi Lin, I'm about a half hour from the curve. I've only seen it about six times in the past three years. Usually when it's a dark, overcast day. It appears to be harmless as I'm pretty sure I'm not possessed. Thanks for the visit and the kind words and have a wonderful rest of your day.
