Living the Dream
I had a dream to fly like a bird
to the splendors of the world.
One night in the depth of sleep
I saw my bed metamorphosed,
on the wings of fluttering white linen
it flew out like a swan.
Nervous, I clutched the wings lest I fall,
bid silent goodbye to you all,
for I knew I won’t return.
The bed flew to the other side of the world
where from sunburst sky a new day descended
on the flushing spectral valley of flowers,
woven like butterfly tapestry I wanted to see.
The sparkling stream murmured the lyric of ecstasy,
the rippling breeze whispered the tune of bliss,
all composing a symphony I wanted to listen.
A winged bed you need to invent
to fly on the VIBGYOR dream,
the flight is transient, but it’s an innovative way of
living the dream.
