Living In Dreams
The sun is bright,
my head feels light,
when I see you down the street.
day swirls to night,
I shut my eyes tight,
and picture you in my dreams.
my head resting on my knee,
as I watch the lively schemes.
they rush through me, ever so free.
you're playing guitar; a lovely melody,
at the lake, under an apple tree.
all your words make me believe,
that I'm a gorgeous homecoming queen.
but being together is all that we need.
because we live in dreams...
your eyeballs dipped in a green,
that no one had ever seen.
the look of it so mean,
even though your heart's pure and clean.
you're the one in my dream,
every night, it's the reason I beam.
these reasons will be unseen,
to every other teen, but me.
because I live in dreams....
